Meals
“The garden is the only thing in my life that teaches me what I need to know.”
Meals at Stillness Study take cue from O’Keeffe’s philosophy: simple, seasonal meals prepared with care, rooted in what the land offers. She saw eating well as part of a creative life—wholesome, nourishing, never fussy.
Our chef, Jen, carries that ethos beautifully. As she describes her cooking: “Beautiful, seasonal ingredients prepared simply, with intention and care. Nothing too fussy—just full of flavor, nourishing, and a touch decadent.” For this retreat, her menus will also honor New Mexican tradition: fresh chile, warm corn, and simple preparations with depth and history.
Meals will be grounding and generous—designed to nourish after days spent in landscape, museum, and mountain.

A Note on Meals Out
Because our programming is immersive, meals will be shared on-site during retreat days. This is intentional: eating together becomes part of the rhythm. You’ll have space to explore Taos’s food scene on your arrival and departure days—like Love Apple, a beloved spot next door known for locally sourced, seasonal dishes.
