THE WINTER FOLD

An annual seasonal practice in slowing down, seeing differently, and finding warmth inside the quiet.

“I love the idea of building a community centered around a shared investigation. The themes really spoke to me and my interests.”

Have you considered that maybe winter isn’t something to “get through”?

That your energy isn’t broken — it’s just seasonal?
That your creative rhythm might not match the calendar year’s constant push for goals, growth, and output?

We spend all year in motion — planning, producing, achieving — until suddenly the light shifts, and our bodies start whispering rest. But most of us keep going anyway.

When you ignore that natural pull toward stillness…
  • Your ideas start to feel flat or recycled.
  • You scroll more, but feel less inspired.
  • You’re exhausted, but can’t justify a break that doesn’t look like “vacation.”

What if your creative block isn’t a lack of motivation— it’s a lack of wintering?
You’ve probably tried things like:
  • Digital detoxes that last a day.
  • The Artists Way which becomes another to-do
  • Meditation apps that feel like work.
  • Retreats that promise transformation but feel performative.

What you really need isn’t another self-improvement project — it’s a container for quiet, a space to remember what it feels like to be in rhythm with yourself again.

This is The Winter Fold * Season 2
A 5-week virtual retreat for creative people who want to rest differently. We gather around art, reflection, and conversation — exploring how stillness can become its own creative act.

How it’s different:
  • We don’t optimize; we decelerate.
  • We use artworks as portals for inquiry, not decoration.
  • We center noticing rather than making.
  • We value connection as much as solitude.
  • We fold in, not away— to emerge more present, more yourself.

What You’ll Experience

Art As Portal
A selection of artworks each week serves as an anchor for inquiry.

Each session includes a glimpse of context— less a lecture, more a digital gallery viewing with space to think and feel from the comfort of your home.

Guided Reflection
Weekly themes and prompts, supported by a printed or digital booklet.

We’ll begin each session with a grounding practice and brief check-in before moving into reflection— first solo, then in small group conversation.

Shared Wintering
60 minutes live + 30 minutes (bonus/optional) of camera-off co-integration.

A small group format allows for intimate discussion and quiet companionship— time held both for yourself and within community.
The Prompt Booklet

A tactile companion for collecting notes, drawings, clippings, and realizations— part field guide, part keepsake, designed to unfold alongside your season.

You’ll leave with steadier attention, gentle creative momentum, and a feeling of connection that lingers beyond the screen.

Session Themes

1. Beginning Again · How do we begin without urgency?

2. Presence & Practice · What does sustained attention make possible?

3. The Geometry of Quiet · What order allows us to feel free?

4. Landscape as Mirror · What do our surroundings reflect back?

5. Creative Cycles · How does rest feed creation?

6. Light & Return · What are we carrying forward from the dark?

“Thinking critically about art/artists and connecting their work to my life was most meaningful. Often times in a museum it's forced or strained; this was authentically resonant.”

The Winter Fold 2026

The Winter Fold gathers small circles of up to twelve— enough to feel held, small enough to truly see one another. Over six weeks we meet live, guided by art, inquiry, and the slow practice of attention. Each participant receives a printed prompt booklet to collect reflections throughout the season.

Sliding-scale seats are available. Email hello@skypunch.world to inquire.

Please note: the first session of each cohort is required: it’s where we open the circle, establish a group connection, and set the tone for the weeks ahead.

Join us for a gentle season of art, attention, and renewal.

BONUS:Sign up with a friend (you both can be across different cohorts) and you each will receive a $50 credit. Just email hello@skypunch.world after you each enroll :)
